Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Podiatrist to join our dedicated healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive foot care services, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans, ensuring optimal health outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive foot assessments for various conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers and plantar fasciitis.
• Develop and document treatment modalities based on best practices.
• Foster strong relationships with patients to enhance their understanding of foot care.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to clinic improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior podiatrists and students during their clinical placements.
• Maintain equipment and ensure the clinic environment is safe for all patients.
• Engage in quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery.
• Lead patient education sessions focusing on foot health and hygiene.
• Review and contribute to clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Stay updated with advancements in podiatry through workshops and conferences.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Podiatry

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting.

Technical Skills

• Foot surgery experience
• Wound care management

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time management

Certifications

• AHPRA Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with Indigenous communities: Cultural competence in delivering healthcare to diverse populations.
• Bilingual skills: Fluency in a second language commonly spoken in Australia, like Mandarin or Italian.
